Our Story
Founded in 2023 by Baltimore-based graphic designer Alex Miller, Mind the Pixels is a full-service graphic design agency in Maryland serving clients across Baltimore, Columbia, the DMV region, and nationwide. Alex’s journey began at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he earned a BFA in Animation. Although he loved animation, he quickly realized his true calling was broader. Using his creative skills in graphic design, branding, and digital storytelling to support businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.
Armed with a strong foundation in color theory, composition, design software, and visual communication, Alex transitioned from animation into the world of graphic design and never looked back. Today, he brings over 12 years of experience as a designer, art director, and creative director. Wearing as many creative hats as needed to give each client a holistic, triage-style experience that makes them feel supported and understood.
Alex currently lives in Columbia, Maryland, just minutes from Baltimore City, and draws daily inspiration from the region’s diverse culture, small-business energy, and creative community. He founded Mind the Pixels Design Agency to collaborate closely with clients and maintain equity in his work. And pursue projects that light him up creatively, projects that give back to communities and amplify meaningful stories.
When Alex isn’t designing, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He’s often on the tennis courts; an avid player and even more devoted tennis fan. He also loves 35 mm film photography, illustrating, birdwatching, catching a good movie, and traveling. On quieter days, you’ll find him flipping through comics or sneaking in a gaming session or two (which he jokingly calls “research” for color palettes).

While Alex sets the vision and ensures every project aligns with client goals, the agency also partners with a diverse network of talented designers, illustrators, developers, copywriters, and strategists throughout the DMV region and beyond.
