With Heather & Erika
With Heather & Erika is a trailblazing, black women-owned company that draws inspiration from the refined elegance of luxury brands like Chanel, Porsche, and Dior. However, their mission goes far beyond aesthetics. Dedicated to empowering both budding and seasoned CEOs, With Heather & Erika provides world-class education and mentorship, creating a platform for transformative entrepreneurship. When they approached our agency for a full brand identity design, it was crucial to reflect their vision of high-end sophistication while celebrating their unique role in championing representation in the entrepreneurial space. We deeply valued their trust in us to help shape a brand that not only stands out but also inspires others by showcasing the power of black women leading in the business world.

Challenge
The challenge for With Heather & Erika was to craft a brand identity that clearly communicated their mission as an entrepreneurial education powerhouse while embodying the elegance and sophistication of a luxury brand. In an industry saturated with thousands of self-proclaimed "business coaching" and "entrepreneur mentorship" programs, many of which lack credibility and authenticity due to social media's influence, it was crucial for With Heather & Erika to rise above the noise. Unlike many of these fleeting brands, With Heather & Erika offers genuine value through mentorship and world-class education for CEOs, but their message needed to be delivered with the same prestige and clarity as their luxury-inspired brand essence. Our task was to ensure that the brand exuded exclusivity and trust, standing out as a beacon of true empowerment in a crowded, often disingenuous market.
Objectives & Strategy
The primary goal for the "With Heather & Erika" brand identity project was to build a brand that not only resonated with their mission of empowering entrepreneurs but also made their audience feel a sense of belonging to something exclusive and extraordinary. To achieve this, the strategy was centered around trust—both in our partnership with the client and in how the audience connects with the brand. Trust, in this context, was about creating an emotional bond, not only through high-end aesthetics but by proving that With Heather & Erika delivers real tools for success. Our agency's approach was to ensure the audience felt like they were part of something bigger while maintaining a delicate balance of inclusivity and exclusivity. This led to the core idea of "WITH"—a word that captures the essence of being a part of something meaningful.
Sunday Deli and Bakery: A Neighborhood Gem with a Twist
Sunday Deli and Bakery is a small, family-owned café that has carved out its space in the heart of the community. Known for their fresh baked goods with unexpected twists and their premium, in-house roasted coffees, they deliver an experience that’s both familiar and exciting. The café isn’t just a spot to grab a bite; it’s a place to savor the morning, connect with neighbors, and enjoy a taste of something delightfully unique.

Challenge
The challenge was clear: how does a small bakery stand out in a market dominated by giants like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts? These industry leaders have massive marketing budgets and brand recognition, making competition fierce. Sunday Deli and Bakery needed a strategy to claim their lane without trying to compete head-on. They needed to feel big where it mattered—connection, authenticity, and local charm.
Objectives & Strategy
Our solution leaned into the bakery’s quirky and authentic vibe. We helped them embrace their positioning as the neighborhood café that knows your name and your favorite brew. By building a brand identity that highlights their community-first ethos, we crafted messaging and visuals that meet their target audience where they already are: in their daily routines and local haunts. With storytelling that champions their local roots and designs that feel approachable yet distinct, Sunday Deli and Bakery became a part of the neighborhood fabric.
DKMTR
DKMTR, a boundary-pushing NYC rapper, merges the world of indie hip-hop with the dark and fantastical influences of graphic novels and Japanese animation. Known for his disruptive visual aesthetic and raw, grunge-like energy, DKMTR sought a logo that would reflect his unique artistic identity while seamlessly integrating into his expanding presence. He approached Mind the Pixels Design Agency with a vision for a brand mark that would not only embody his persona but also become a signature element across his merchandise, album art, and digital content.

Our Approach
To encapsulate DKMTR’s distinct style, we conceptualized “Dark Matter” — a logo inspired by the enigmatic void. The design represented infinite nothingness and served as a portal into his creative universe. This approach emphasized the duality of his artistry: a grounded connection to hip-hop culture paired with an otherworldly edge. The logo was crafted with versatility in mind, ensuring it could function as an eye-catching feature for merchandise, a dynamic frame for motion design content, and a timeless stamp on album art and street pieces.
The Result
The final design became a cornerstone of DKMTR’s brand, effortlessly blending into his visual storytelling. On merchandise, the logo introduced a bold, grunge-laden aesthetic, resonating with his fanbase. In motion design, it transformed into a living element, acting as a literal window for video content, amplifying the immersive experience for viewers. Finally, as an iconic stamp, the logo elevated his album covers and street art, providing a cohesive thread across all his creative outputs. The “Dark Matter” concept captured the essence of DKMTR’s artistry, solidifying his position as a force in the indie hip-hop scene.
